CIP4 and TWAIN collaboration
Common goals make for a unique collaboration
CIP4 and the TWAIN organization announce a collaboration for the combined goal of standardization robotic and automated print. TWAIN has a long history of using a common means of scanner-drivers and more to facilitate non-proprietary integration.
As many of the roles in print automation and Smart Factory share common goals, a cooperative agreement to choose the best of both standards in order to refine a true automation to print production all through the process, including finishing and fulfillment. Meetings have begun in order to define what parts of both standards could be of use to the other.
This collaboration is the type of goal that CIP4 has been working towards in our missive to "Integrate through automation", and CIP4 happy to see a partnership with such a cooperative aspect of print production.
