CIP4 publishes a new version of the MIS to Prepress ICS

After years of dedicated work by the CIP4 Technical Working Group, the latest release of the MIS to Prepress ICS (version 1.8) has been published. As the role of prepress has evolved in modern workflows, so has the JDF ICS responsible for it. ICS documents (Interoperability Conformance Specifications) are at the core of JDF functionality, and they represent individual relationships of the roles of an automated workflow. This JDF specification allows for backwards-compatibility with legacy systems, as well as refined and contemporary considerations for the future.
